Its been 33 years since I started my first job in real estate. I started making cold calls for a top team in LA. I was working evenings while going to college. I took real estate principles and fell in love with all the intricacies of the real estate world. I started out as a young agent at 19 selling homes, taking loan applications and managing rentals. We had the Fannie Mae REO account. Handled all aspects of REO property which included Cash for Keys, Sheriff lockouts, remodeling & BPOs.
At 21 I took a new homes sales position with Newhall Land & Farm. I created a manual of all my systems to train other sales associates. I spent about 10 years selling new homes, managing sales agents and consulting for builders along the West Coast. I had gotten my brokers license by the age of 26 and opened my own real estate company. We did loans and sales. Back then we originated and processed our own loans.
Once married with 3 young ones I sold my company and hung my license with a different brokerage. Spent a few years showing my husband the real estate ropes. He was a young fire captain, with 4 days off a week, helping me sell homes. Once he made battalion chief I was on my own again. Since then I have continued to consult families on all aspects of real estate. Knowing how to help others has always been my strong point. I built new systems and training books and took on coaching.
I coach and mentor about 100 agents today. Im in the top 5% at my brokerage nationally. I own and run a property management company and a private money fund. I keep my Notary designation so my clients have a consultant who can help them with all aspects of real estate. Im currently studying for my TN license so I can build a team in Franklin. We will help families transition from CA to the Midwest.
I have 3 teenagers. 2 are at Boise State and my youngest is in his Jr. year in high school. Im still married to an amazing retired BC who is now a self titled Domestic Craftsmen. We live a beautiful life blessed each and every day. I enjoy riding my horses on the weekends and working on my book. Life is good.
