I was born and raised in a small town outside of Chicago, Illinois, but moved permanently to Palm Springs in 1991. I had visited a few places in the Southern California area prior, but Palm Springs was the place that won my heart. Beautiful palm trees and 350 days of sunshine a year, it was a no brainer, and especially to know that there was no more snow shoveling involved, I made the big leap and never looked back. We love that the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin is less than a two-hour drive to the beach, and an hour drive to the mountains. Not many places can vouch for that!

With over a 20-year career in retail sales and now currently in real estate, the Coachella Valley has been my home for the past 28 years, living in Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, and now currently, a high desert dweller in the beautiful sleepy town of Morongo Valley. I am so glad we made the high desert Joshua Tree area our home with my son, and two fur babies. My son and I frequent the Joshua Tree National Park for some great hiking, and have the opportunity to photograph some of the most spectacular beauty of the desert.
